THE PARADE. The epitome of all that is Disney, of magic and fantasy, dreams, adventures, hope. I honestly thought I might start crying when I could see Mickey Mouse. The parade celebrates more than 20 years of Disneyland Paris which opened the year before I was born, in 1992. These photos are just a few of my favourite characters and also favourite floats.
I have a whole lotta love for Rafiki as he was the only character I actually managed to meet at Disneyland and get a hug and an autograph off. There are not really characters just dotted around the park anymore as I remembered them, you have to queue at character meeting points, but Rafiki I did get to meet and he was hillarious.
The huge crowd gathered for the parade reminded me of Glastonbury, everyone was equally as excited and impressed by the parade as they were in the crowds of the pyramid stage. Walt Disney said "If you can dream it, you can do it" and he definitely did it.
