Adventureland takes you into the world of pirates, a world where childhood lives for ever and there is always something new and exciting around the corner to explore. There's the lost boys giant treehouse to climb, Captain Hooks ship, pirate caves, treetop lookouts.
Also home to the Pirates of the Carribbean ride which is in my opinion one of the best rides in the park. You queue for it in the dark, lit by laterns, surrounded by palm trees, with the sound of water and the humid temperature it felt like being on a Carribbean beach in the dead of night. Then you get onto a little boat and you are taken on a journey through life as a pirate, the animatronics of the pirate people, the skeletons, the scenery, just everything was so exciting and interesting and also a nice break from standing on your feet. I wish I could have taken better photos but it is all in the dark, flash would ruin the atmosphere and I wanted to just sit and take in the ride.
