The cemetery is home (can i call it home?) to many famous deceased artists, writers, painters etc, including Alexandre Dumas, Edgar Degas. I thought it only fitting that since I was going to see a ballet that evening that I find the grave of Degas, which was surprisingly humble and basic in comparison to some others, given how renowned he is now as a painter.

Cimetière de Montmartre
I paid a visit to the cemetery in Montmarte. In England I think cemeteries are really creepy and horrible but this one was actually quite beautiful. Maybe because it was a sunny and hot day it didn't have the same dark atmosphere as they do in England. I think also because of the architecture in this cemetery, full of little stone, almost temples, where families are buried. It is an immense site and I think I was in there for an hour just wandering around and taking it all in.

Merci
If you're in Le Marais area definitely check this store out. It's such a quirky little mix of fashion and home items and the shop itself is worth a visit in terms of layout/interior design. It has a kind of Urban Outfitters feel to it but more individual and interesting.
I thought the bracelet was just perfect, so simple and it says "I will sleep when I'm dead", a phrase I have been known to use once or twice..

Excuse me
Excuse me a minute while I just wish that I was you.... That cute little pink bag would have cost well over £1000 and whatever she had just bought in Chanel was even bigger, even more expensive and probably even more beautiful. Where do these young people get all this money? And how do I get some?!
What is this building?
This building is just on the other side of the Seine to Notre Dame. Absolutely beautiful architecture, huge building on the banks of the river, which I must say looks lush on a sunny day, but I'm not sure what it is! Anyone know?
Just chilling
So I spotted these guys, all just chilling, in beautiful locations. I'm no street style photographer but I think it adds a little something to the shots for someone to be just there. You don't know why they're there, you don't know what they're thinking in their head at the time, they don't know you're taking a photo of them.. Just interesting I think.
Notre Dame
The other day I was in Le Marais, wandering in and out of shops, admiring the architecture, the shoes, etc. somehow I ended up at Notre Dame. What a beautiful cathedral. When I was little the Hunchback of notre dame was always my favourite Disney film, I think because I was born in Paris. But I had never seen Notre Dame up close and it really is spectacular. I was just disappointed I didn't get to see Quadimodo!
